I am a meticulous, accomplished Senior Graphic Desiger with comprehensive
experience in publication, advertising, marketing design, and corporate
developement.
I have profound experience in a multitude of publication and production areas and I am an individual that is a highly visual, creative problem solver. For the first year and a half I have worked for Astronomy magazine designing science and hobby features, department sections, circulation materials such as advertisements like blow-in and bind-in cards, and promotional branding materials for the advertising department. I have a comprehensive publication design experience in full production from concept to completion of magazines, catalogs, books, annuals, brochures, and environmental graphics.
At my first position out of college I designed Trains, Classic Trains, Classic Toy Trains, and Model Railroader Magazines and their respective materials as noted above. Additionally, I was the Art Director of two local Milwaukee newspapers for three years and six months, which have greatly accelerated my design and production knowledge. I have directed photo shoots, scaned images, contracted different illustrators, and completed all production work on images and layout, working quickly and efficiently with the ability to meet tight deadlines through the prioritizing of multiple jobs. I work at a professional level on Quark Express, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator on both Mac and PC platforms.
In June 2005, I was hired as a Senior Graphic Designer at the United States Bowling Congress. Concepting, coordinating, and completing an array of printed materials similiar to the variety previously listed. I have also worked for ten contract clients that are newly established companies. I have helped launched full-marketing/advertising campaigns in multiple target areas to reach both wide and specific audiences.
Currently, I work at Diamond Nexus Labs as a Senior Graphic Designer. I am the lead designer in development of a newly branded multi-million dollar company, repositioning them in the market with a new corporate identity, high-end fashion/product magazine, and highly successful e-mail marketing campaigns.
Love to both play and watch sports. My favorites being football, baseball, and hockey. I am an avid outdoorsman who loves to fish, hunt, and compete on trap shooting teams.
